RUP Flow Systems – Cartridge Replacement Procedure
1. Close valve apx. 80% to 90% = 20% to 10% open.
2. Disconnect power supplies; remove operator lever, gearing or other actuator.
3. Remove lever-locking plate if valve is lever operated.
4. Remove cartridge “Lock Blocks”.
5. Mount IFT slide-gate and pressure plate(s)
6. Connect IFT-Actuator to gearbox mounting flange and connect bonnet in a fluid tight fashion.
7. Pressure test containment prior to pulling RUP-Cartridge.
8. Retract RUP-Cartridge into bonnet and close Slide Gate to Isolate RUP-Flanges.
9. Remove Bonnet and RUP-Cartridge and replace with repaired or new cartridge.
10. Mount bonnet on slide gate, open slide gate.
11. Advance new RUP-Cartridge into locked in-line position.
12. Disconnect actuator, pressure plates, and slide gate.
13. Install Cartridge “Lock blocks”.


DISASSEMBLY:
1. Open valve.
2. Remove operator from valve.
3. Withdraw shaft using twisting action.
4. Remove bushing and stem seal
5. Remove disc by pulling and rolling out of seat.
6. Remove seat by pushing straight out of body - a rubber hammer can be used to assist or hydraulic press on larger sizes.
7. Inspect and discard parts as necessary.


ASSEMBLY:
1. Clean all reusable parts.
2. Lightly lubricate seat O.D. and seat stem holes internally with silicone oil.
3. Align stem holes on body and seat.
4. Insert seat into body by pushing or tapping with rubber hammer ( or hydraulic press on larger sizes).
5. Re-insert shaft until it slightly protrudes into bore.
6. With screw holes towards and into valve base.
7. Align shaft disc screw holes (counter bored side towards disc holes).
8. Insert "O" rings and bushing and tighten.
9. Circle valve to check assembly
